April 07, 2004Guess who I met...Guess who I met while I was on my long involuntary break. Yes, these are more celebrity sighting, so I didn't really 'meet' them per-se. Man, you guys are so picky! Anyway, to add to my list, here they are: 1) Kevin Bacon - We stood at a light beside him after getting out of the 72nd street 1,2,3,9 subway station. Let me tell you something. Kevin Bacon in his everyday clothes, looks just like Kevin Bacon in the movies. He was wearing a trucker hat, leather jacket, tight hipster jeans, a broken in vintage t-shirt, and aviator style sunglasses. It was funny... almost like he wanted a sign pointing at him saying "Hey, I'm Kevin Bacon". 2) Ethan Hawke - A few months ago, we were having dinner at the Homestead steakhouse in the meat packing district. Mo and I were a bit late, so the couple we had dinner with had already been there for about 15 minutes having drinks. Guess what we saw they informed us. An hour or two later, as we finished up our meal, Ethan Hawke and his friend both walked over to the coat area near where we were sitting. All I could think was that he was not looking too good after the Uma break-up. He looked awfully thin, pale and tired like he hadn't eaten or slept well in a long time. Either that, or he partys too much... 3) Alec Baldwin - The Alec sighting was the closest ever to our apartment. He was at the corner deli, about a block away from our apartment. He's also an actor who looked much better on screen. Of course, I must admit that when I saw him on tv for the Golden Globes a couple of weeks later, he cleaned up very nicely.
